How should I approach a sophomore girl I have a crush on as a senior in high school?

So I'm currently a high school senior, and I have a big crush on this sophomore girl who I only share a half semester class with until the end of January. I haven't mustered up the courage to have a direct conversation with her, and I'm not exactly sure how to start one. Its not a class where I can just go up to her and ask her about homework or tests since there aren't any, and we have assigned seats and she sits across the room from me. I've seen her in the hallways and we've locked eyes a few times and i usually smile at her but I honestly have no clue what she thinks of me. I was wondering if there was a non creepy way to strike up a conversation, or if I could do something like put a note in her locker telling her how I feel or something, I don't know I've never had a girlfriend and I have plenty of girls I'm friends with, but just this girl whose two years younger than me makes me turn to jelly whenever I see her. This is crazy. I'm a sophomore who's been crushing on a now senior since I was a freshmen. We were in the same class that's only one semester until end of January as well. Also these assigned seats, so we don't really get to talk. Honestly as the girl in literally the same situation as you, follow her on social media and dm or text her. From then, you can start to talk in person and it'll be so much easier for the both of you. Im just so freaked out because everything you have just said is literally my situation.

When I was a senior I asked out my ex (who was a sophomore) by just flirting with her and asking her. It worked surprisingly well.

I think the easiest way you could approach to her without it being creepy is by just talking to her right after class. Something about the class maybe making fun of something or commenting how hard/cool that class is. I know you must be a bit intimidated by her but she's pro going to be more intimidated by you since you're a senior. So just talk to her like you would with your friends and both of you will slowly forget your age differences. I know it's easier said than done but I think it is possible :)
