Why is being 'badass' attractive?

Everyone likes different things, but it seems that being 'badass' to some-a lot is attractive. Anyway what is definition of badass and is it attractive to you? In regards to anything.

I love bad ass girls. Girls that take no crap from anyone and are the farthest thing in the world from being a victim. Ones that have the confidence to decide what they want, and make it happen even if it's hard or scary.

When a woman like that decides to be with me I know it's because she wants ME and that I'm lucky to be the object of her affection.

Bad ass chicks aren't easy to attract or keep interested, but if you can, you have a partner rather than a dependent.

hmm.. i think badass is at its most attractive when it's unexpected. like, mind blowingly... mmm.

i dont have a definition for badass. all i know is he's yummy when he comes out to play and catches me off guard.;P

Obviously they don't look back at explosions lol. But seriously what makes a woman a "badass" to me is the ability to approach a stressful situation calmly and solve the problem like it was nothing.
