How do you hug a shorter girl?

my crush is like a foot shorter than me, so do i put my arms around her neck? do i lift her up into the air? or do i just bend down? or maybe i do one of the 3 (or any other variation) depending on the kind of relationship i have with her?

As a short girl: Don't pick me up too much. I don't want to feel like I'm seven.
Being buried in his arms/chest is one of the perks of being short. Feels secure.
When at the same level (like when sitting) I like to be able to be the one with 'the upper hand' sort of speak.

Plus a lot of girls say I'm a great hugger (bragging) so since they're the only looking for hug they must do the work xD

I don't know.. it's just what I do without thinking. Kissing is a problem though, neck hurts after awhile from looking up all the time.

he's not that tall xD I learned that from going on many dates with a 6'2 tall guy. despite wearing high heels I got tired of looking at his face to talk when standing at a close distance because my neck hurt :-/ that's when I learnt taller isn't better :-/
