Why is he flirting w/ another girl in front of me?

We're just friends, but we flirt...at least I think so. (Touching, teasing, flirting) all the things most people do when they like each other. Anyways, there's this girl I talk to and she now sits next to me. My crush sits right behind her. He'll flirt w/ her right in front of me. And inside it kills me badly bc I thought we had something special. He's very open w/ her when it comes to the flirting. Calling her cute, touching her hair and crap. If I do look up, he'll glance at me but swiftly direct his eyes to her again. I know he's single...but for once I 'want' the guy to like me too. Before, she never gave him the time in the day... But as soon as she saw something b/w the 2 of us, she jumps in. This girl can get any guy she wants...and it's making me feel bad. What do I do? And whys he doing this?

It sounds like he's flirting with her to make you jealous and she's ether been asked to play along or he knows what she's like and he's just using her to make you jealous, or they are screwing with you and he's not the person you thought... so id be very careful because ether way they are screwing with you by making you jealous or making fun of you and pretending they like you.. so id find out more about him before you get yourself knee deep into this, id honestly be put off by this behavior straght away and believe me i've had a few guys behave like this towards me, i can see it's definitely something that turns you off you, id ignore him and give him the cold shoulder and see how he reacts, it's not really the best way to act just to make you like him (if he does like you that is).

I've been through so much screwing around with people especially in high school that i never go for these things people do any more no matter if they like me or not, it's not right to use someone to make you jealous or to mess with you (whichever he's doing).

It's cool, everyone still things i'm the nieve one tbh, sometimes i hate haviing a baby face because people misread it but they know it's them lol if they wasn't they woudn't be behavign as they do to try and impress people lol that's all the messing about is for :P lol.

Hmmm,
1) He wants to make you jealous, and for you to chase him.
2) He kinda likes you, but your friend jumped in and he fell for it.
3) He used you to get to her.
4) He is just a flirt. I know a lot of guys that are like this.
5) He enjoys toying with girls' emotions.
So course of action in each situation:
1) Depends on you, do you want to fall for the bait? Do you want to sop at him? Or do you want to make it clear that this is not the way to be treated.
2) Have it out with your friend. My mother had a lot of girls do this to her, and they are the WORST. I can't stand these kind of girls.
3) Find someone else and never speak to him again.
4) Just realise what is going on.
5) Ignore him. He will just hurt you.
