Why is he flirting with another girl in front of me?

my crush has been flirting with another friend despite her being attached. he will make sure to explicitly name me, e. g. let's go for dinner without XX, when speaking to her in the group chat.

at first i was ok with it because it just felt like teasing and was quite funny, but it has been going on for sometime now and ever since my other friends commented that he seems to like her, i am starting to feel like maybe he does like her and is trying to hint to me to stop being interested in him?

disclaimer that i am having a crush on the guy! i did not say that we are in a relationship 😭😭 i know he can flirt with anyone he wants but i am asking if it feels like he knows that i like him and is trying to get me to stop?

Because there’s a 99% change he doesn’t like you that way. Sounds like he feels as if you’re getting in his way of whatever he’s trying to achieve w your friend. He’s not obligated to not flirt w you in front of him. Like I said he probably doesn’t like you like that. If he felt the same way about you he’d be flirting w you, not her.
