My boyfriend said he would be more attracted to me if I was thinner, is this wrong?

So I am overweight but have lost lots of weight in the last year. He met me after I lost this weight. I have a medical condition which makes it hard for me to loose weight (PCOS).

Anyway we have been together off an on for the last 7 months. Today he told me he would be more attracted to me if I lost weight (he sees me working toward this actively). He also said he loved me, thought I was attractive and wanted to be with me and could see himself with me forever. He says I am over reacting. I don't think I am, I mean one of the best things about being in a relationship is being comfortable around them. He also swears he doesn't look at me and critique me. Am I crazy or is he way out of line?

He says he does not look at you and critique you, but he tells you he would be more attracted to you if he lost weight. Does he know of your medical condition? I am a firm believer that if you love someone, you accept them how they are and you don't put them down. I could see if you downed pints of ice cream and attached yourself to a couch, but you clearly said you have lot a lot of weight, are working towards a weight goal along while having PCOS. So in my opinion he was out of line for that comment. Is your boyfriend perfect? Be honest. Maybe you would be more attracted to him if he possibly gained 15 pounds of muscle and hit the gym to get ripped? Or maybe if his penis was a few inches larger? Tell him how you felt about that comment. You can be comfortable with someone and be considerate at the same time. If my boyfriend said that to me I would be taking new boyfriend applications lol

So wrong. I didn't even have to read the details, just the question. If ANY guy said that to me (especially someone who I was dating) it would be over in a heart beat! If they can't accept me for who I am and love me for me (and be fully attracted to me skinny or over weight) then they aren't right for you. Plain and simple. He's a jerk for saying that to you!

yeah he is out of line... this boy is contradicting himself.he tells you he would prefer you thinner and then says oh but he loves you?... tell him if he isn't happy with you the way you are then you can't be with him

That's the issue. He thinks I am enough or so he says. He just would be even more attracted to me if I was thinner. I think it makes no sense. Apparently he says he is very happy with me there is no one like me etc etc but it would just be even better if I was thin.

Everyone who is overweight always says they have some kind of medical condition and I think its a bunch of bologna .

he didn't do anything wrong, there is no right way to tell a girl that you want her to lose weight, he has probably been wondering how he can tell you without hurting your feelings.

there is nothing wrong with him wanting you to lose some weight , when girls want a guy to change something they just say it upfront but when a guy wants the girl to change something they have to beat around the bush and try to make it sound nice.

I don't care what all these girls are saying about it being wrong, its not.

Hes simply letting you know what concerns him and there's nothing wrong with that, if you would rather not listen to him then prepare yourself for the worse because if he built up the courage to tell you that then its an issue to him

Are you a doctor? There are people who have medical conditions that prevent them from losing weight. Yeah there are a lot of people who make up excuses but I have a friend with PCOS that goes to the gym with me regularly and eats fairly healthy and she's still overweight. So no, not everyone is BSing when they say that.

Yes of course it's wrong. I am a bigger guy, but I've lost some weight in the past few years. My ex girlfriend left me after almost 5 years because she decided she didn't like fat guys. Apparently all my love wasn't enough, and she's too hot for me.
