How do you know when a woman is hiding her love?

Pretty much everyone who has been hurt before, is hesitant towards saying "I love you" and I know this is a heavy question because I'm asking women to divulge a big secret here. How do you know, like what are some signs of a girl who wants to say to a guy "I love you" but isn't sure if he loves her back so she hides it. What are some signs of that bottled up feeling?

**edit*** oh migitmandi, let's just say she shouldn't b afraid of that ;), I'm trying to figure out if she loves me back at this point, its been such an awkward relationship at times due to the timing of it all, but I REALLY REALLY want it to work out.. so does my entire class at college in fact lol.

I agree with ladymiss, I have bn hurt and lost trust to we as do guys tend to put up a wall, to stop you coming closer as self protection the stronger the wall this girl has/had for you prob shows the strength of how much she likes you, If you posted this a year ago I am interested in the out come, to help any one else that comes across this tho you will know when her wall drops with you when she allows you in her personal space and doesn't immediately want to step back once you notice this happen, then she is ready to tack a chance on you, and you can now go ahead more quicker because you have just earned her trust buy her wall dropping. hope this helps any one :)

Well she will probably try to run away because she is afraid like she will be afraid of looking at you in the eyes, because the eyes will definitely give her away. I've also been hurt before real badly (I'm also shy) so these are things I'm doing when around this guy I'm in love with. I'm slowly starting to open up to him tho. So if you love her, somehow let her know and shell come to you. Just give her some time so she can trust you, kay?

Have you said "I love you" to her yet? I've only said those words to one guy - my (now) fiance - and he was the one who said them first, so I knew I was safe saying them.

If she looks at you while you're hugging, cuddles next to you during a movie, likes to hold your hand, talks about the future (as in 'next week') then she probably loves you.

I hope you can help me with an opinion? If I had told a woman that I love her but she says, not directly after but later in the same conversation "I'm sorry, I can't say what you want me to say", does that mean she isn't interested or just not ready to say it back? She has been badly hurt and let down by men in the past. She will hug and let me hold her hand 'on demand' and it feels comfortable although there doesn't seem to be tension. She doesn't really initiate anything. Any ideas?

A girl likes a guy when she looks at you like you're the only person in the world. Or when she smiles at you and then tries to hide it. When you caught her looking at you and then when you caught her she turns around or looks down when you've spotted her, sometime the girl will even blush. Hope I've helped.

You probably can tell if we are hiding. We love you by the things we do based on what we do we want you to read between the lines sometimes or we might have the heart enough just to tell you if we really feel we do and we want you to know straight up what it is.

I'm not quite sure but watch her eyes, if she looks at you in a way that she looks at no other person she may be trying to figure out how to tell you she loves you. Maybe she's afraid you won't love her back!

If she hugs and snuggles quietly and holds you as long as she can then she's probably feeling love for you but isn't ready to say it.
