Would it also turn you off if you seen her "guy interaction" on FB is somewhat high (meaning-constantly somewhat "flirty"). Would that make you jealous and perhaps in need of more attention from her because you wanted to get to know her (reason why you sent her a request in the first place).

There may be a lot of possibilities and explanations for this scenario.

When a guy adds you on facebook, it's not definite that he's going to message you as soon as you accept.

He might have been preparing, contemplating on what to say, he might have started procrastinating because he may be a bit unsure. He also might have been checking your profile for quite some time.

He might have even sent you a request without the purpose of messaging you in the first place and then might have decided later on to message you.

Another possibility is that he really WAS busy, because I've encountered many scenarios where people would seem to be online but it's because they left their computer program open or their phone logs them on automatically etc.

nah, also to the online thing, mine always says I'm online someone got made at me one day for not responding at like 5am (I had work at 9 I was asleep) so yea I don't know what to say

To comment on the second part of your question, yes. As I understand it, many guys get jealous really easily, for no logical reason. I think it might stem from their own insecurity. As kids, we're reinforced with the idea that being aloof and above-it-all is manly and adult. This conflicts with random emotions that can fluctuate seemingly at random.

So, if she at first was really interested in getting to know you but you then realize he's not as "available" as they once thought and there is plenty of other guys wanting her attention, will that gravitate him more towards the girl or push him away?

Hmm, I think that might depend on the guy. If he's a courageous romantic, he may like the idea of swooping in and out-competing potential suitors. If he's less optimistic / self confident, he might think he's just one of a crowd the lady already has around her.

In any case, I think effective communication would solve a lot of relationship / friendship problems. Instead of both people worrying about what's going on, just talk it out. Ask lots of questions (in a hey-I-care way, not a wtf-is-up-with-you way). Anyways, just my 2 cents.
