Asking a girl to go running with me?

So I just met this girl 2 weeks ago and we have not really been in a situation where we could talk a lot; however, at a thanksgiving party that she invited me to, I found out that she likes to run. So I talked her into running a half marathon that I will be running. I figure training with her would be a good way of getting to know her cause I would like to I ask her out on a date but not sure if this is a good Idea or not since every girl I know hates running with me because they know I am a state placer in track and x country? also we have been communicating through Facebook but not long conversations but through little sentences here or there. Is it weird if I asked using a wall post or should I send a message or use the chat feature or even text (we have each others numbers but are not on that line of communication yet)

Great idea! It is nice that you share an interest and I bet she will like getting to know you this way because it is so different/creative.

If you are a serious runner, then of course she is probably not going to have a whole lot of fun if you leave her in the dust or exhaust her! I would go for a nice, slow jog so that you can chat and not wear her out. Good luck.

I wouldn't go with a wall post or a Facebook message. Use something she's very comfortable with, a phone call or face to face on the next run. And maybe text if she does txt a lot.

I wouldn't do a wall post because it invites more public rejection. It also doesn't convey the feelings you want. Phone or in person would be much better ways to ask.

dude, I got hooked on my girl the SAME way, we went on a run, but we ended up just walking and talking...even went for an icecream...its a GREAT idea bro.

Oh, that’s a really good idea! You can help train her for the marathon. I would send her a message saying that you wanted to ask her a question and you’ll call her… she’ll be intrigued and also expecting the call.

As long as you keep a pace slow enough so that the girl can carry on a conversation with you it should be okay. Just dont be a showoff.
