The room was not that light.. he has blue eyes so I can tell his pupils were normal size ( not dilated). is he uninterested? I mean he was smiling a little when we were talking because I was checking his face out when he talked to me.. I was being awkward cause i like him... maybe he was being nice

No, I think he is not attracted to you because he can see that you are creepily staring into his eyeballs up to a point that it is inappropriate. Or maybe he is. You honestly shouldn't be bothering with pupil dilation, unless you're trying to check if he's on drugs. In which case, you'll still get false positives.

Dilated eyes aren't always going to be the size of saucers, maybe they did dilate and you didn't notice. Or maybe you need to look for other signs rather them his eyes. See if he stands straighter or quickly raises his brows.

Did you google "how do you know if he's interested" or something? Don't.. Those are just "hints" for some cases. They don't apply for every situation
