Invasion of Personal Space is a sign of flirting, right? Like Legs crossing into your personal space?

Well, I was on a plane with a guy I go to college with on a flight to North Carolina. We had a really good time, we laughed, talked about life, etc. Later on he asked me if he could splay his legs/feet into my foot space. I was holding my legs on the chair to begin with so I said sure. He then said if I wanted I could put my legs on top of his too if I'd be more comfortable. Is it just me or was that a sign of attraction/flirting? Also, I remember I was cold on the plane and he offered me his jacket but I said it was fine... Guys, what do you think?

Still I think it can show attraction or flirtation, but if you guys are also friends and it was a long flight then it might just be that he was comfortable with you. I would need for evidence to come to a more solid conclusion.

What makes it a definite sign though of flirting would you say?

Its pretty simple. If you're attracted to somebody, you want to touch them, right? So usually you'll use any excuse to get close to them. If he's touchy w/ you, like he touches your hands, hand on your shoulder etc. frequently, thats a pretty clear sign. Also, people use it to test others, cuz if you flinch and draw away just cuz he brushed your arm, a kiss is obviously out of the question. The only time this isn't clear is with people who are just naturally touchy. So watch him and see if he's touchy with EVERYBODY or just you.

Well no, he's not a touchy person. So I guess that makes sense. I didn't end up complying just because it went right over my head at the time. But yea, I think the fact that he wanted to initiate something subtly indicated a level of interest right? Or is it just me?

Well, some guys consider themselves pickup artists, and some guys are naturally bold, but most of us approach this kind of stuff with a degree of caution. Fear of rejection is definitely something most people consider. Typically, you only "put the moves" on someone if you have a reasonable idea that you will succeed. Being subtle and slowly escalating the level of contact are ways guys test the waters before jumping in. It sounds to me like he was interested, but was a bit too shy to just say it outright.
