What does a guy feel when his crush frowns at him?

I tried talking and smiling with my crush but he wouldn't take it further so then I got angry and frowned at him. I think I hurt his ego and then he stopped looking at me for a while and then a few days late he began to frown at me whenever he saw me so I then apologized for frowning but he denied knowing what I was talking about. There is tension between us now. Will he get back to normal or is there no chance for us now?

When I said he wouldn't take if further, I mean he just stare or tries to get my attention by being loud which has been going on for several months now but I want him to take it further now but he won't make a move and he knows I am interested in him because I stare back, smile and lock eyes with him.

Well in general frowns are not positive, so he probably figures you don't have positive feelings towards him...
