How to respond to "hey" from a guy?

Long story short, last night at my mates 21st there was this super cute guy. We conversed for a few minutes, but thats it. Today I added him on facebook and he messaged me saying "hey"! How the hell do i reply to that hahah

Well he's trying to break the ice, but not putting too much out there because if you guys conversed for a bit and nothing came about from that, he probably doesn't know where he stands with you as in, do you like him in an attractive way, or do you like him just as a new acquaintance, or what? That fact that you added him to Facebook doesn't really say too much as to how you feel about him. If you start talking to him like you did at the party and then start telling him how you feel about him, then you'll get more conversations and reactions. But a girl I just met at a party, that I had a bit of a conversations with, and we didn't really exchange numbers or ask each other to see each other again for a date or something, I wouldn't know what to think about her adding me as a friend on Facebook. I would think she likes me, but I wouldn't want to come on too strong. What if I got all into a big conversation right away, and she's like, hold on, we just met the other night. I wouldn't want to look like a desperate fool or a Facebook crazed guy or something.

So just say Hi back and tell him that you liked meeting him at the party and wanted to get to know him more, and then go from there.

Hey back, ask how his day is so far, go from there. He doesn't know what to say either so you just have to start asking questions and the conversation will just progress from there likely. Women are just as bad sometimes. I often just get "hey" to.
