What does it mean when guy tries to come up with new ways to say hi to me?

what it means if a guy finds new ways to say hi? Once he said hi to me in Spanish and other time he said in japanese. Last time when we chatted he said it’s going to be mystery in what language he will say hi to mw the next time. Does he like me? is he trying to impress me? Something else?

To me he's trying to be cute or making you laugh, or both. Yes it sounds like he likes you. He's going out of his way to do that. I doubt he does that to others.

We have made plans to meet for a coffee. We haven’t gone out on a date yet. We’ve been chatting on whatsapp so far. Last time when he chatted he messaged me on Tuesday and we chatted for couple hours. He then said that he had to end the conversation and wished me good night and wished me a good work day. It was 11pm. I fell asleep before that message and responded to him on Wednesday mornind “ thanks  I actually fell asleep before your message”

He opened my message couple days later on Saturday. My message didn’t require a reply tbh. I know for a fact that he already read my message through push notification but still I was annoyed that he opened my message couple days later…. After that I haven’t messaged him first.

If I were you I would start saying Hi or Bye in different languages to him.

Male who doesn't know who to approach female and say normal "hi, hello" is a bit lost when girls comes in question. He can be "cute" or "funny" buy doing that but still a bit lost. :D
If he is mexican or japanese and saying "hi" on his native languages then its ok :D

I know that feeling trust me, if you could talk/chat for hours that is good sign, you have some topics in common which is 10 of 10. And about that feeling, don't text anymore and wait for him to call about that coffee.
