Girl flirted with me when were alone but completely ignores me around others.

Hi all,

I met this girl at work recently, she's very beautiful inside and outside .Nicest person I ever met. We talk a lot when were alone,she plays with her hair like always around me,she makes me smell her hair and hands.She smile at me like always but when she is with her friends she likes completely ignores me,I am like invisible to her.She also lies to me a lot about her stories but tells her friend something else,I decided to ignore her the same way she did to me and it seems that getting farther and farther from me.She talks to me once in a while but with I try to start a conversation ,she really is not interested in any conversation.She seems very happy when she is with her friend but when I am like in the same room or same space ,she seems very sad and tries not to look at me.My heart tells me that she is not interested in me but am I wrong? I don't really want to start a fuse with her because she works at the same place with me .

Here is an update people,When she is near me she always plays with her hair but she is around someone else she doesn't.

I experienced kinda the same thing a while back. Hung out with this girl, had some somewhat deep conversation, and just generally enjoyed each other's company. As soon as we were around some mutual friends she wouldn't spare me a second glance. I think it's that she's interested, but not to the point of revealing such interest to her friends just yet. You may have left it a bit late by now if she seems to be withdrawing, but try just being around her more and talking to her. If she doesn't seem interested, probably a good idea not to keep talking, but don't completely ignore her either. Good luck

I don't know if she just wants the attention because she talks to me when she is alone but when her friend appears is like our conversation was pointless,she totally forgets me and pays full attention to her friends. I decided to stay away from her because I don't want to be seen as the bad guy trying to push something that was never there. I try to keep a distance from her but it's harder than I thought, the truth "I never felt this way ".My guess is that her friends influenced her decision.

It kinda depends on the caliber of your conversations I think. If you can have a really deep, meaningful conversation with someone, there's gotta be something. Basically what it boils down to is you've gotta figure out how much this lady means to you. If it was just sort of a casual "hmm this chick is pretty hot, and she seems to like me might as well give it a shot" sortta thing, then maybe it just won't work out. But if you actually care about her you gotta try your bloody damnedest.

If her friends were able to influence her to that extent, maybe she didn't feel a whole lot in the first place. But then again do you really want a girl who'll just give up on a guy because her friends say so?

The hair thing is an alright sign, but I wouldn't go buying an engagement ring based off of that, if you catch my drift. You've basically got to establish your relationship-whether it's just friends to start with or whatever-, and work from that. Don't try to just start "wooing" the chick without even getting to at least the base stages of friendship.
