Underage girl likes me, what do I do?

This underage girl at my work flirts with me and said she wants to date me. But, I'm 19 and she's 16. I admit she is pretty, smart, friendly, and fun loving. But, in California, we can't have sex until she's 18, and such relationships are looked at with suspicion, especially by Police. What do I do? I do not want to go to jail over such issues. How can I politely reject her or get her to wait 2 years?

You should not get involved. I am sure in Cali you can find plenty of beautiful single 18+ girls..
So would you rather have a good relationship, without having any thought of potentially put on sex offenders list and damaging your life or ruining your life for a relationship that may not last... think about it

If she is "the one" she and you can wait 2 years be friends but do not get her or her parents angry, do not date her... just remain friends...

Stay friends for Now Somehow. You know the Rules, not only at Work but In... California.
However, I would imagine that Within '2 years' here, dear, you Would have Found a Million other Girls to Date. But while you Are on the job, and you and the Youngster are still friends, if She is Still over by the Water cooler, for '2 years' goes Fast, ask her Then... To hang out and Start from there.

Tell her that, say you'd like to be just friends but she's too young for you and you aren't about to risk your life for something like that. Be nice about it, but you need to be CLEAR. No mixed signals, don't give her the impression you'll wait 2 years etc.
Hopefully she gets it. I mean if she's old enough to think she can be in a relationship she's old enough to understand rejection.
