Im 23, single and finishing college, a 16yr old girl likes me, she is attractive but young. being single its nice to get the attention, I don't want to ignore her, but 16 is young. what would you do?

My parents are 8 years apart, but then, they met when my mom was 22.

First of all, what's your profession? I'd guess student teacher. The only reason I guess that is because A LOT of student teachers are around that age and A LOT of high school girls find them attractive.

If you don't want to date her...which you shouldn't considering it could get you into trouble...just don't lead her on forever. Make a clean break and it will be better for the 2 of you. I was in a similar situation when I was 16 and he was 20. He lead me on for 3 years until he finally said that he didn't feel anything for me. We still talk sometimes and it's really confusing and sometimes painful. Be up front with her and save the both of you a lot of pain.

I don't know what country you live in, but isn't the legal age for getting to know a girl 18 or 21? Not sure which, if you are in Australia or NZ, you are ok, as the legal age is 16 for girls and 17 for boys. The question is, do you really think its realistic to pursue someone of that age, I know it can happen, but is it healthy for you or for her, expectations are different for different age groups.

Tell her she's too young. Let her down easy. You don't want her saying anything that could get you in trouble if she turns out to be crazy and obsessive.

It depends, Do you like her? If not what's the ponit why date someone you don't like it's pointless. If you like her at all go for it. It migt become better beacaus ewhen my parents got together they were 7 years apart and they have 2 kids now. I think personally you should go for it don't lead her on for nothing. In my personal opnion go for it see what happens you might in the end love her.

That being said, you don't have to ignore her. Tell it to her like it is. You're at two completely different times in your life and it would be a mistake to be more than friends.

Sounds Like Trouble... I say run hard long and fast... She can and most likely will get you in a lot of trouble tell her to get at you in 2 years and than see where her head is at.

Isn't it illegal in some places if you do decide to have sex with her, she's under-aged. The people you go with reflect some part of you as a person as well. ie. maturity.

Just let her until she's 18, then you can start planning. And two years isn't too long, and you would get to know her better in the mean time.
