New attractive lifeguard!

in my gym's swimming pool the other day, I was sitting in the sauna which has a view of the swimming pool and noticed this really cute girl, she's a lifeguard for the pool but I am guessing she's new.

I found myself frustrated, because I really wanted to have a chat with her, or maybe at least say hi, but I completely chickened out, for some reason I did not know how to approach her.

any advice for the next time I see her?

do you reckon lifeguards get hit on a lot?

I'm a lifeguard and I get hit on all the time and to be honest, it gets really annoying. If you really want to talk to her, maybe ask her what she had to do for her training, or how long she has been working as a lifeguard or something. That way you don't weird her out or annoy her by saying something stupid like "baby, you can practice CPR on me anytime" (yes a guy actually said that to me one time.), because your not being to forward and she will probably be comfortable talking about it.. One thing though, make sure you don't get her in trouble. Maybe go up to her when she isn't actually guarding maybe when she is cleaning or something. Where I work we can't talk to anyone for a extended amount of time, while we are watching the pool. I don't know if its the same there but you don't want to get her in trouble. Good luck.

Just play it cool and be yourself. Maybe just smile first or see if you make eye contact. And if you go there regularly she might recognize you and you could just start by saying hi if you pass her.
