I often read " sorry not my type " on the how do I look section, so I'm wondering, what's your type Gaggers? What is not your type? Would you be with someone who's not your type?

Yes. Someone who moves a certain way, quick pace, kind of awkward. Doesn't notice you until you put yourself on the map. Comfortable. Quite but not shy, he talks if he has something to say. Not one for chit chat. Really smart but easily bored. Waves and holds the door for people and helps the elderly but like I said nothing really hits home (its just what he does cause it's what he does and he's not paying much attention) until you put yourself out there alittle. He loves to read and tends to like things on the darkside. He has battled depression at one point. he is introspective and deep and enjoys the big questions. He is full of wonder and adventure, a bit of the dreamer. He can be a little inappropriate (ie. not one to always read the crowd). He's quick and witty and saracstic but respectful. He's a liberal. I'm attracted to a certain posture and stride and I like deep expressive eyes. Probably a lot of other things too so look wise I have a type it just doesn't revolve around height, eye color, build, hair color or things like that.

in way I do have a type but at the same time no I don't. what I mean by that is there are some similarities between all guys I have dated but no 2 guys fall into the same type of guy. my current boyfriend is not particularly what you would call hot but to me there is nothing about his appearance that needs to change, he's also not what you would call perfect but to me he is. my exs are all kind and caring but none of them really have any other similar qualities my boyfriend and one of my exs are in Cadets yes but that means nothing, some of them wear glasses others don't. some are tall some not some are super protective some not. I don't know what exactly I was attracted to in my exs but I know what made me fall for my boyfriend and all that matters is I love him with all my heart and agree with him that when the time is right if things have gone the right way that we will get married

My type is usually intelligent and kind, in a way that makes me feel they made me look at the world in a new way. I need to respect someone in order to be attracted to them.
My type is physically quite fluid, I don't like the same thing I liked a year ago, but bad hygiene turns me off. Just like annoying voices, bad body language and (often) obesity in guys (in girls I somehow like curves at times).
I also tend to like people around my age category, I won't really fall for someone over 30 right now.
Last but not least, we have to have a lot in common. We need to be enthousiastic about some of the same things or at least to be interested in the others' interests, and we need to be roughly on the same page when it comes to morality.

I think everybody has a type - A lot depends on how strongly you adhere to that type in public when making statements like "Not my type" but over the years if you look at the girls I have gone for there has been similarities - The striking thing is that they tend to be the opposite of what you would expect for me to go for at first but it is a strange thing , I seem to have a radar for shallow party girls but actually they have a lot going on under the surface and are a bit insecure showing their real selves - If you get to know them very well, they are more like a girl you would expect me to go for - I am not sure if that makes sense.

I don't really have a type i am pretty open minded so i guess i would be looking for someone like that. Not my type is only mostly a phrase we use instead of saying no i don't like what i see. I have turn offs like girls covered in tatoos and girls with no ambition that only rely on the man to make them live. Smart girls that can talk about anything and everything is attractive but look wise i am honestly very open minded. Women come beautiful in all different races. I have a thing for women of different colour as me just because they are different and also different ethnic backgrounds makes it very interesting.

I have a thing for military guys and law enforcement, probably because I have common grounds with the former lol. As far as appearances go, I tend to like the tanned Mediterranean/southern European looking guys.

Would I date someone who wasn't my "type"? Absolutely! If I liked the person that is. I think the whole "you're not really my type" line is just a polite way of telling someone that you are simply not interested or attracted for what ever reason. If you are attracted to them, who cares. I'm not usually attracted to long haired guys but there is one that I currently do have my eye on ATM 😉

(I used to believe in this 'having a type' hoopla. Back when I didn't think I'd ever date anyone who wasn't well over 6', blonde, blue-eyed, the works. When I met a guy who matched all of that and was actually into me, surprise! I wasn't interested. Then I met my boyfriend, who is Asian and a bit shorter than me and, here we are. Although as a society we like to be open minded to everyone and everything. On personal matters, everyone has a type and it does discriminate. Unfortunately for us girls, it means that we want this perfect prince charming... but in reality, no one is like that. My type in order of importance:
1. caring

They say that because they want to be nice, rather than saying I don't find you attractive. They want to be well liked, more so than honest. As far as my "type", they are women that I find attractive. They tend to have cute genuinely expressive faces in my opinion, dark hair/eyes, reasonably fit bodies, average to short height, and nice butts (whatever that subjective comment means). When it comes to physical appearance, I prefer fit & athletic girls (toned but not overly muscular), with long hair or medium haircut (ponytail is nice too).
As for the personality, I like assertive and self-confident girls, who like to be in charge, and are not afraid of taking the initiative (yep, I like dominant girls).
