Girl open her mouth slightly right after eye contact?

Hi, So what is this about? It happens rather frequently, either she opens her mouth slightly or pulls her lips inward. This happens a lot, and I don't really get why. No smile or any other positive signs, just extended eye contact and the open mouth thing. And it's not a jaw drop or anything, just a slightly open mouth. Have you found yourself doing this, and if so in what situation and why? And I only started focusing on it because it happen rather frequently and I found it somewhat strange.

Stop focusing on it, that's the solution here. People get obsessed with micro expressions on the face of someone that they are interested in and those micro expressions are often misinterpreted entirely. Not only can they have more than one meaning, they are often contextual. As a layman you cannot determine anything accurate from eye contact, pupil dilation, mouth movements, etc. What you are seeing just ends up being what you want to see, you assign meaning by wishful thinking.

If you want to know how someone feels about you then you need to do something to find out, not to try and rely on reading tiny facial expressions that could mean literally anything.

I understand that, and if it was a single instance or happened 5 times I would just take it for what it is. Now it has emerged as a pattern though, and therefore I had to ask.

I generally believe in my intuition and rarely doubt myself, but when something happens so frequently and with random people who do not know each other and who I don't know it's getting strange.

Yeah, I think so. I'm going to take a guess at how this works. When you see someone you like you get an endorphin rush and your heart starts beating faster and you breathe deeper. When this happens the mouth naturally opens slightly. Guys probably do this too but society doesn't interpret it the same way. If you look at professionally photographed sexy pictures of women (not necessarily nudes) often you will find that the woman is posed with her mouth slightly open. Even the mouth emoji 👄 has the lips slightly parted, LOL. It is typically seen as a sign of desire.
