Why would a guy stare at me really intensely?

there is this guy on this sports team i follow and at all the games he always stares at me so intensely. it's almost like an angry look. but then when i talk to him he is nothing but smiles and laughs at my jokes.

I think he tries to see if he remembers you from somewhere. I have the same tendency with girls and they always flip a shit about it and ask me "why do you stare?" However, it is just a facial expression of focus combined with intense sports. Don't take it personal.

i have no doubt that these guys know me, it's a very odd situation. my dad is very involved and donates so i have met them all numerous times at games and dinners and banquets and stuff
