Did I blow it?

Alright, so a friend of mine and her boyfriend set me up with this girl I really like. It was like a double date. We got along really well and we had a lot in common. I could tell she was having fun, and we made plans (as a group) to hang out again. But since I really liked her, I got her number from my friend and I thought I'd ask her out before that. I made the mistake of texting her instead of calling. I asked her if she wanted to hangout, and I didn't get a reply. So I don't know what to make of it. At least if I called her I would know either way. So does the fact that she didn't reply mean that she doesn't want to go out with me. Did I completely blow it? Help me.

Ok the rules for texting are, typically don't send two texts in a row without a reply. It makes you look needy.

The other thing is with texting is that you have to have everything perfect,because chances are she's probably showing it to her friends, her neighbors, and her cat mittens.

You probably shouldn't have called her to try and ask her out before the group date.

Keep this in mind, when it comes to women, its almost never blown.

There might be an avenue you could try where you can "accidentally" cross paths with her again with your friend of yours and her boyfriend. You must absolutely make it look like it was an accident or it won't work.

The other thing you could try is waiting about a month and CALL her and ask her to hang out with you and your friends.

Make sure when you hang out this time that you talk to other women. Don't make her the center of your attention. Let her see you being social, and talking to other people. Try and let her see that other girls like you.

man, that's rough. I know all too well how this goes lol. but I wouldn't say you completely blew it. patience is extremely essential in a situation like this. don't text her again and just wait till the next time you see her to talk to her. all I can really tell you is to just be patient lol. this is coming from a hypocrite because I'm an extremely impatient person and that has always been my downfall.

I've gotten texts from guys and when I don't want to talk/deal with it I don't reply. you made it easy for her to ignore you :/ she probably wasn't that into you to begin with. you guys were in a group so she may have had fun but maybe was just not into like that. OR you never know her phone may be on the fritz. But did you blow it? no if she didn't like you she didn't like you...i don't see how you did anything wrong :/

Maybe she doesn't have a texting plan? Try actually calling her and if she doesn't answer that, leave a short voicemail, straight to the point. If there's still no reply THEN start to think that she's avoiding you. But if you can get in touch with her, ask her out to another social event so it's not a pressured date and the both of you are free to talk and have fun with each other. Just don't stress about the text. :]

That depends: How long did you wait after the double date to send her that text message? How much time has passed since she received the message? Are you sure that she got it? I can't imagine how sending a text message could ruin your chances of a second date!

Sorry... I have to admit, she could make more of an effort... :-/ But don't you ever tell yourself that you "blew it" by sending her one text message! If she's not interested it's not your fault, maybe you're just not her type... You gave it a try, if she would like to get to know you, she will come around. I agree with superdudeman: Don't text her again. If there's i.e. a party ask her to come, meet her in a setting with lots of people so you can find out if she's looking for your company...

just wait it out, she may be trying to play hard to get, or she may not be interested and she doesn't have the courage to say no to you. or there are stacks of technology problems in between. talk to your friend who set you up to see where the girl is at. Don't text again, if she's looking for a relationship, she wants an interested guy, not a stalker :)
