Do guys tease their friends about the girl they like?

I have two classes with this guy. In pre calc he has no friends in the class and he stares at me and is sweet and polite but we hardly talk. Then in English he has two friends there and he doesn't stare at me as much and acts like I don't exist. But his friends smirk at me and when I walk past them they shove him and one time they even wolf whistled at me.

First of all does it seem like he's attracted to me? And if he is, are is friends teasing him because I'm unattractive and are making fun of him because he likes me or is that just what guys do around their friends crushes?

If you feel he likes you, and you like him, you shouldn't care what his friends think. I find that most of my friends won't say that a person is unattractive to the person that likes them, its more of a "talk behind their backs" thing. However that might differ.

Seeing that you are under 18, id have to think that they are just picking on him for liking you, probably because he has little or no experience with girls. I would try to talk to him more in Pre calc, and see how it goes. If he seems interested, ask him to hang out.

Well for girls KNOW that yes,people do this. Whenever I like a guy most of my friends say something along the lines of,"Ewww he's so ugly!" or something. Also"Omg,you have SUCH bad taste in guys!" it hurts my feelings because can't they just be happy for me,i mean,looks aren't everything,specially in this growing society,right?
