Do guys tease their friend's crush?

There is this guy I work with that I kind of like. Let's call him Eric. Eric seems indifferent towards me at times but one of his friends, let's say Connor, jokes with me. I joked back in a friendly (almost but not quite flirty) way and Connor stated Eric would be upset if he heard. At first, I thought either Eric liked me or Connor knows I like Eric and Connor is just fooling with me. But when we were in a group, Connor mentioned how Eric does not have as much "pull" as people think he does and Connor mentioned how Eric asked him for girl advice. Do you think Eric likes me or do you think Connor knows I like him and he is just teasing me about it and Connor is referring to someone else? And if he does, how should I handle the situation?

Honestly it sounds like Connor for sure likes you and maybe Eric likes you. Connor was definitely saying “he has no pull” and “he comes to me for relationship advice” bc he wants to make himself look better than Eric. He could either be doing that because he sees Eric as kind of a threat to him when it comes to getting girls, or he’s just the kind of person who talks shit behind peoples back to make himself look better

I would only trust one , lots of guys play games in groups to try get you to forget about one guy be carefull
