I think I have a crush on my boss.
Technically he is not my real boss, its a temporary job, like a work placement.
I have never had a male boss before. He is being really nice to me and in general a very happy and likeable person, always joking around.
First I wasn't really sure how to behave around him, not knowing him and not having any work experience. But I got more comfortable around him and now we are on a level that some might even call flirting although I'm not sure if that's what it is. As I said he likes to joke around, likes teasing me or making fun of me but in a nice way. I know he is kidding and I kid around too being sarcastic just the way I am with friends or family which shows that I really am comfortable around him. He is very kind to me, always answering my questions and explaining everything to me and he also wants me to understand and learn new things. He tells me when I did something well but also tries to encourage me to do better sometimes. I realized that I want to please him, I try to work hard and I get extremely happy when he is satisfied with my work.
He is 30 years old, ten years older, but the closest to my age. Everyone else on the team is older.
Most times I think he is just being nice as he is to everyone. But then he looks at me secretly, is making eye contact or laughing at my jokes, even the bad ones. One situation definitely startled me: it was a very hot day and I was outside with some other guy who eventually took his shirt off then my boss joined us and said to me with a wink: "I only came by because I thought you were shirtless as well". That IS flirting right? I tried to play it cool and only replied: "You wish!" But I was freaking out on the inside!
He hasn't said anything like that since and all I can say for sure is that he is treating me better than others who are in the same position/same job.
Do you think he is attracted to me or just being nice?

He is regularly asking me if I still like the work and if I am enjoying it. He notices how I am, like when I have a particularly bad day he asks whats wrong OR when I am in a good mood he'd say "it's nice to see you happy" etc.
