Do you (black) girls ever feel like we're always getting picked last?

I always had this feeling that as long as there was a moderately attractive white, Asian, or Hispanic girl around, that a black girl would get picked last, you know?

And I believe that thoughts do create your reality, so if you walk around feeling inferior, thinking that no one likes you because of your skin, then that IS what you will attract.

But indulge me, does anyone else ever feel this way? I go to a predominantly white university and I am attracted to white guys mainly. (I also like Indian guys LOL...actually I like most attractive guys of any race to be honest...). Some of them (white girls) are really gorgeous, not to fault them. But sometimes I look around to the ones that have boyfriends and dates and things and I think WTF?

They're nothing special look-wise, but especially not personality-wise. Then I just get angry that no one has approached me (albeit I do come off quite aloof).

Anyway, does anyone else feel this way? I always feel that when white guys say they like black girls, they always have a Beyonce, Tyra, or Rihanna type girl in mind (aka light skinned aka as close to white as possible)

I felt like this before. Like I was being chosen last or not chosen at all sometimes just because of my skin color. Its definitely frustrating after a while because you know why your not being approached .I see it all the time no matter where I live ( and I lived ony both the east coast and west coast). No one wants to talk about or tell you why these guys aren't approaching you but everyone really nows why including you. I just hate that even if you have everything going for you (meaning looks, intelligence, personality,etc.) your still being judged by what color you are before anything else by some people.

I agree with you. I notice that darker skin women to get picked last even if they've got it all. However, there are guys who date dark skin women, I've managed to get the attention of guys from different ethnic groups. It shows their open minded. I just got married to a White guy and I'm very much happy. One of the things he compliments me about is my skin.

There are more than plenty of white guys and black guys and Asian guys that prefer black women.

I'm not one of them... but they are out there.

If you are not being approached than that's your problem, you are coming off as "unapproachable"

Even ugly women get hit on because they are safe and approachable.
