Whenever I give girls nicknames, it's because they have significance in my life. I have girl friends that my friends and I have nicknamed some goofy things, but when I like a girl I use her name a little bit more and if I find a nickname suits her, I'll use it. Usually it's an inside joke we have shared, like I dated a girl once who I called Muffin, not as a pet name but because of somethign funny that happend in bed. So, I'd say your nickname is probably a good thing.

i guess it all depends on the nickname its self. I mean if the nickname is something like dumbass or whore, then no its not a good thing at all! but if it is something cute or sweet then yeah its a great thing. means he likes you or at least thinks your cool enough to have a nickname.

I beleif it is on a postive side if I love you I could call you a name of my liking.

We have such names like sweety, honey,picky,babe.not to mention all I know it is on a postive side
