Ladies, Is asking a girl out after only meeting her once OK?

There's this girl I met at a club last night. We both shared mutual friends who had happened to reserve a table at a club. We talked for a good while that night, and even danced to a few songs, which I think she enjoyed a lot.

I wouldn't say it was earth-shattering chemistry, but I thought she's very cute, and I think I'm cute enough to be in her league (did not mean to come off as arrogant.) I added her on Facebook and just recently sent her a message asking her on a date.

Is that too fast? Do you girls prefer to have a little more time to get to know the guy casually? Is it a little scary going on a date with someone you barely know? Should I just shut up and see how the date goes if she says yes? Thanks!

Do ask her out... but not straight away. Go to somewhere more casual first. Show her the side of you that exists during the day, in a different environment. Take her out to coffee or something.

Don't worry about being "In her league" either. That stuff is just in people's heads. Considering what you said, it sounds like she's interested in you

It's more comfortable to just meet in casual situations that aren't a date first, because it isn't putting pressure on either person.

No way! I met a guy in a club and he was cool so we went to a chill place for our first date. I didn't know him at all before the club. He was actually a good guy and was very smart. I'm sure you are too. If she accepted your request I'm sure she at least thought something nice about you.

Don't worry about it. If it doesn't work out it's cool, because you didn't invest much time in her.

Go to like a book store or somewhere relaxed so you can just talk :)

i would def recommend a date that is going to allow you guys to get to know each other and more or less not at ur place, I would say grab a bite to eat maybe go out for a light happy hour which is a little more laid back than a formal dinner but I do not recommend the movies. I think it is a little fast girls like a challenge soo don't come on too strong. pump ur brakes and let her make a few moves so you can see if she is into u..good luck

I hope you didn't say date? haha.. It's okay to ask "Wanna come cinema with me tomorrow night?" etc.. but, not "would you like to go on a date with me?" .. that's strange.. and don't ask her to go out with youuuu for agesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss..

no way! if a girl is into you she wants you to ask her out soon or else she is going to think you aren't interested. what better way to get to know each other than on a date. go for it. :)

Nope. I'm terrible at conversation unless I can see the person's face, so I prefer not to talk on the phone. As long as it's not a fancy dinner or anything too serious and is closer to, say, coffee or something, that would be perfect.
