Is it alright to ask a girl out twice?

First time was when I barely knew were (my mistake for that) and she was keen to know me better before making another choice, but I would like to actually ask her out since last time was not direct and was not in person, I'll be prepared and ready now that we know each other more and there was a few evidence that she liked me as well. I just wanted to know if it's okay to ask her out again or would it be foolish to ask the same person twice.

My husband asked me out once when we were aquatances first time was vague and I was actually trying to ask him out for my friend, the second time I said I was not interested in relationships, and the third time we became more like friends got to know each other better and he straight forward told me how he felt about me and told me he was interested in me.

Well now he's my husband.

but like, she did say she wanted to know me better and then decide, and she's the type that prefers personalities more than looks so it makes sense that she doesn't know what my personality s like, would this change the answer
