Do guys use sarcasm/dry humor as a way to get a girls attention and flirt?

Nope. I just have a very dry and dark humor, therefore when I try to tell a clever joke it often leads to a dead silence, but I love the expressions and reactions my humor obtains.

I've noticed it's very hard to pick up through text, unless they type lol or haha, unless you know the person and you know how they act in person. I just picked up on it a week ago haha. Too much. lol.

I use emoticons a lot otherwise some of the things I say could be taken seriously and that would not be good.
2 women that im interested in dont get my sarcasm/humour as they aren't native English speakers but they deal with it in different ways.
1 just doesn't know when Im doing it and I must explain/ put an emoticon to show that I am being sarcastic.
1 just laughs and thinks Im always flirting with her (which most of the time I am). I know she doesn't understand it most of the time but she knows me
