If a guy and a girl are shoving each other around playfully, is that flirting?

Anonymous
Today I sat behind my guy friend in Calculus and he kept putting his arms on my desk when he'd stretch or turn to talk to me or our other friends. When I initially noticed this, I told him, "James, get your arm off my desk." and then shoved his arm off the desk.

"(my name)," he sighed heavily, and turned to me. "I can put my arms where I want. I own that desk."

"I don't see your name on it." I reply coyly.

He laughed, put his arms on the desk again, and said, "You aren't even using this part of the desk."

I grin, and say, "It doesn't matter. Move your elbows." I then push his elbows off the desk.

He puts his arm back on the desk AGAIN and I shove his arm, but he pushes back. We sit there pushing against each other for a minute or so, and finally I barely get his arm off while pushing our desks away slightly.

He turns around in his seat and puts his elbows on my desk once more. I keep pushing them off, laughing, and he even pushes back again and moved them around to catch me off guard. 😂 Eventually, we quit, but it was fun.

Is that flirting? (because if it is I'm confused, because he keeps flirting with me despite telling me that he likes being single...)
Based on what you've told me, yes, he is flirting with you!
Based on what you've told me, no, he's NOT flirting with you.
