Is it normal for a guy to flirt with a girl's friends to get back at her? Like, if he thought the girl rejected him in some way and then targets her friends ON PURPOSE and tries to hook up with them. Is it to get revenge or make her jealous?

Also, I would like to point out the fact that the only way that she would be affected by this is if she actually likes him.

But I know for sure because I was the friend he slept with to get revenge on my friend. My friend rejected him because she has a boyfriend, he then seduced me while talking shit about her. Next day he told her he did it to try and make her jealous.
