Should a girl ask the guy to be her boyfriend, or should he make the first move?

The guy I like likes me and keeps talking to my friends about me; asking questions like "does she ever talk about me" and "does she like me?" or "is it really obvious that I like her?" Everytime we pass each other in the hallway he blushes a deep red color, yet he won't ask me out because he is shy. I am shy as well, so I don't want to have to make the first move. This has been going on for a year. What do I do?

Well, somebody's got to make the first move! It is nice if its the guy, but sometimes it has to be the girl. If you can't find an excuse to talk to him, just write out what you wrote here, maybe missing out the 'deep red colour' bit, and put it in an envelope with his name on it. Don't overwrite or pour out your heart, just finish by writing something like 'please just talk to me!' Then, next time you pass, put it in his hand. Make some excuse - 'you dropped this yesterday' - or something. And see what happens!

My own girl friend made the first move cos she was my first and only,it wasn't so difficult though am some kinda shy but she opened up 2 me but that doesn't prevent d guy 2 always make d first move,he likes you cos he wouldn't call you flirty names if he doesn't like u,i mean its normal cos it doesn't matter who makes d move first.,.so you can go on and make d move..

Make a move ;D its rather obvious he's to nervous about it to ask, so mold some guts yerself and do what he couldn't do ._. which would be ask... If it's been going on for a year already ye might as well get moving~
