Why do men ignore you if you bruise their ego?

So, me and this guy were talking… but the conversation would always go in a sexual direction. We both agreed that we would get to know each other better, and keep the sexual talk to a minimum. Then one day he said something to me, and I responded negatively, not to be rude, but to respect a decision HE ENFORCED, by not talking sexually until we have more of a direction as to where the relationship was going. After that he stopped talking to me, it’s been several weeks now. BUT, I know through a mutual friend that he still likes me, but his ego is hurt… so I’m getting the cold shoulder.

WHY WHY WHY… would you ignore someone… that you LIKE. Lol… and how do you expect them to not blow up on you when you decided to start talking to them again? Why should I have to understand that he is upset… but he doesn’t care that he is hurting me by ignoring me.

Guys please… break it down to me like I am a dummy… make me understand…

I was mad, until I found out why he is acting this way... now I think it's funny... I'm to curious to see what's going to happen to leave... in the mean time I'll keep doing me.

he clearly wants you only for a booty call and he got the message you are not as interested as he is on that department so he is slowly pulling away to look for someone else to fill your position. even if he did like you but he maybe is in need of a f*** buddy asap. and you don't want that. so just forget him. because if he really liked you for u, he will apologize actually for being tooooo forward despite the agreement you both have. so let him come talk to you first and don't bother apologizing because you didn't do nothing wrong

The male ego is fragile. He may think that an apology is deserved whether it is or not. he may not be able to handle rejection of that sort.

In any case, you need to be straight with him -- that you took the position you did based on your agreement.
