Why do men get mad when you reject them?

Question

I am not even talking about nice guys. I have noticed a pattern where I will start to get to know a guy and then he will start talking sex talk. Now keep in mind we are not even in a relationship at this point and they start bringing it up. Soon after I see they dont respect me and reject them and tell them I am not interested and they get upset.

Why do guys do this? Do they really think talking about sex with a woman who you are not even in a relationship with is going to make her want them? Then they get offended and act like you wronged them. Advice please, lol

I personally find it disrespectful to bring up sex with someone that I am not in a relationship with. It is something that I take seriously and wouldn't do that with just anyone and some goes for the woman I would talk with it about. They do not respect you if they are that concerned about sex that early on. I know some people are concerned about sexual compatibility but that is typically way overblown and used as an excuse to justify their actions. Personally I think that a guy needs to invest in the woman before moving to a sexual stage. They get upset because they are immature boys that think they know how to be men. A man doesn't have this problem because he is emotionally healthy can handle himself and is able to discuss things that didn't go his way in a mature fashion. I would suggest you keep on thinking how you do. It is disrespectful and a clear sign of what is their priority. The guys on this site will not agree with this which is okay but if you were my sister I would tell you the exact same thing I am writing here.

At least the guys that you are encountering are showing their true intentions without even knowing it apparently. Those are the same guys that will be like I am so respectful to women why do they hate me or won't give me a chance. Give me a break. I am sick of seeing men acting like it is okay to be like this or playing the victim role.

I can only guess its a quality issue. Some guys are literally out there looking for sex and not interested in a relationship with you and you have to sort of realize that there is nothing wrong with that. Not everyone wants to be serious or get serious or be mature. Some of these same type feel that if they buy you a drink and some dinner, you are obligated to then have sex with them. I emphasize, this is a "certain type" of guy. If you are looking for a serious relationship and to take your time with the sex thing, aside from putting that vibe out there and staying true to who you are, you also have to sort of look for that quality somewhere other than maybe a dive bar or Spring Break in Cabo. Certain places do tend to attract a certain type of male or female for that matter. In the long run, instead of feeling like maybe why me, why does this always happen to me, just think to yourself, that they are the ones that just aren't looking for what you're looking for and move on to finding a hopefully nice guy that suits your needs.

It sucks getting rejected, and i wouldn't treat the woman i rejected with resentment or hate, but i wouldn't be as polite/sweet to her as i was before

It's likely one of two things:

1. They feel as though they've "earned" a chance with you, and you are depriving them of something that's rightfully theirs. They feel ripped off when it's taken away from them.

2. You have a SUPER itchy trigger finger when it comes to rejecting guys, and they didn't see it coming at all. That could be frustrating.

You can avoid a lot of this by just telling guys up front that you're just not comfortable with sexual talk during dating stages.

That is a bit of a general statement there. If someone loses respect for you just because you lose interest at them making sexual advances on you then it obviously just means that they are looking for sex. It has nothing to do with "men" as a whole. Most people regardless of gender enjoy talking about sex (in the proper time and place) so maybe they just think you're a prude.

It does work. They're just frustrated because it didn't work on you, which means they wasted time they could have spent on a woman who was actually into in them. Plus rejection always sucks.

But that's why guys do it. Weed out girls who aren't interested quickly by saying sexual things, and sleep with interested girls quickly by saying sexual things.

endure rejection or heard the word no. I stopped approaching/talking to women
because of their shallowness.

Guys like that will claim you lead them on or you think you're to good for them. But in order to save face they will berate you or like you said "act like you wronged them" in order to save face.

A fair amount of women do respond positively when a guy starts sexting them quickly. Those guys are pissed because they felt their pride get wounded and feel embarrassed. I know it's not exactly very respectable if they make a big deal out of it.
