(Secret Santa) What should I give to my crush?

OKAY GUYS SO FOR THE SECRET SANTA IN CLASS I HAVE TO GIVE A PRESENT TO MY CRUSH !
Sorry for the caps but this is so crazy.
What should I give to him? What should I do? Should I ask him directly what he wants, ask to his friends, give him chocolate, give him a book?

When I offer him the present, should I make a big smile? Be neutral? What?

Chocolate? Really? Unless he is a 12 year old girl i would not recommend.
Book maybe? He likes books? Or did you just obligate this dude to five Friday nights of home work?
Should you smile when you give him the gift? Humm. Im thinking that or you could just kick him in the testicles and run away crying like you did in 2nd grade when you liked a boy. But im guessing the first option would probably get a better reaction.

What is this dude into? Sports fan? Movie buff? Nice dresser? Please dont say video games or Comic-Con.

I don't know, food seems to be the best solution to me when we don't know what to give to the person... What do you think about it?

I don't know if he likes books actually, all I know is that he is one of the smartest guy I've ever seen (a genius at math and he has a lot of knowledge), but he's also into sports... GAAAH so complicated

I need something MEMORABLE for hiM to remember me and like me (sounds childish but yo whatever)

Gotta know what his interests are. If he enjoys reading then a book is great. But if he's the kinda guy that's much more into sport or something then he's not gonna appreciate a book much. Get to know what his interests are and base the gift on that. He will also take more notice of you cos of this as he would see that you have taken the time to get to know him

Oh, and definitely smile when giving it to him. And you could also say something like "I know you're gonna love this!" Just make sure it is something he's interested in if you're gonna say something like that haha
