Why does he insist that I know his whereabouts?

I have been seeing a guy for about 3 weeks. Then he decided to tell me that our time would be limited on the weekends due to a few things he has planned coming up and he needs to do some things with his 17 year old son. He always calls to tell me his whereabouts, how busy his day is and if he can call me later or not. Why does he insist that I know his whereabouts?

Well the obvious reason would be that he is making sure you know where he is so that you won't be suspicious of him doing innappropriate stuff such as the obvious one which is cheating. And this could be for many reasons. He might have a had a previous bad relationship where the woman was always suspicious of him cheating because he was busy and it might have hurt the relationship so he is probably just taking precautionary measures to make sure that doesn't happen with you just to be safe. If anything its good that he shares this kind of stuff with you because it makes him feel better and you'll know where and what he is up to incase you might get suspicious or even just wondering to contact him if you need him.
