I can’t say that I spend much time in a gym nowadays. But I don’t think women like to be approached by men in that setting - generally speaking. However, if you have something in common like a similar workout routine, it wouldn’t be too inappropriate to strike up a conversation about exercise.

Women are people. It is ok to make small talk with the people around you without the expectation of it going beyond small talk. People who are extroverted do that all the time without even realizing it. Maybe you’ll be lucky and she will show signs that she’s into you. In time, things could progress to the point where it is ok to ask for a date. Just don’t go approaching the women in the gym with the thought that you are going to get her phone number right away. That kind of attitude might work in a nightclub but it is likely to be a turnoff in the gym.

Most people at the gym like to be left alone to do their workout in peace. Unless you're asking long they'll be on a machine, it's going to be very disruptive if you try to start a conversation. It's kind of like working on an important project and being interrupted by someone.

I dont think it has anything to do with the guy himself people aren't the same my friend keeps checking out and smiling at guys at the gym she met two boyfriend there actually. Me on the other hand don't like it not cause the guy is doing something wrong but more because im like gosh he is so hot even after working out and i really look like shit. Im uncomfortable cause i really look shitty so i can't be in the seduction mode... i don't wanna attract attention. Try it, i thibk its flatering but if the girl is not receptive then do not insist.

No. I go to the gym to workout, not make out. The guys at the gym where I go to are serious bodybuilders. They don't have time to flirt or chat up women. They don't let women distract them.

Besides, my boyfriend goes too , so no one would approach me coz they know I'm with him lol

I don't mind it at all, i think is a great place to meet people because you already have something in common. i've been approached at the gym several times and they're all good friends now, we often talk about our lifts and stuff like that and, actually, one of the guys that talked to me became my (now ex) boyfriend. I love meeting people and i freaking love gym talks lol so yeah, I'm cool with it :)

I go to the gym to focus on myself. If a guy tries getting at me it only makes me lose focus and as well makes me shy. Maybe because i'm a shy person but I don't like people looking at me while working out lol So approaching me would ruin it for me and then I would hope to never see you at the gym again.

Well here is the deal if i go to a gym i go to finish my workout and get the hell out of there. And since i actually go to work out i dont have the capasity to focus on being hit on and guys can sense that so they know not to approach girls like that. It also helps to dress like a garbage man when you work out otherwise huuuu those yoga pants are just begging to be removed.

You have mostly 2 types of girls at the gym, one like me, I go to work out and I hate being sweaty so don’t approach me lol and the second type of girls, that want attention. I used to go to this gym and there was some 18-20 year old girls who would wear see-through leggings and thongs lol and would look around and giggle at all the guys

In my opinion... the ladies don't usually like it when they are working out and getting sweaty during and after their workout. However, if it is possible to flirt successfully before the workout begins. Just make sure she is not running late for her cardio class (step, zumba, Pilates, yoga etc..).. they are serious about not lossing their workout spot in thier class.. lol. Good luck!🤣😂👍🏽😉
