So girls, how much do you actually get approached by guys?

I've read a few posts on here and it seems that hot girls intimidate men a lot, and girls are asking why they never get asked for a phone number or get approached? I think that's quite weird, I always assumed that hot girls get approached and hit on all the time (I always approach any girl I find attractive).

So girls, how much do you actually get approached by guys? lets day in a week? And what do guys normally say when they do approach you?

I reckon it's a lot less than we'd think.

I got a lot of female friends, and what I've concluded is that it's not about how many times you get asked out. It's just the mere FACT that you get asked out. There are A LOT of girls out there who don't get approached, ever! Those are I guess what you can say the "not really hot" girls. I'm not saying they're ugly, but it's like they just don't stand out so much.

Then we have the girls who DO stand out, and they do get asked out. Not 10 times a day as some of us might think, but more like once a week. This is, of course, assuming they're leading normal lives. Obviously, if they're still in high school they'll get hit on more often by people there. Or if they go out at night a lot, they'll get hit on there too. But if they just wake up, go to work, work and come back home, I doubt they get approach more than a couple of times a week.

Why do they get hit on in high school? Idk, I'm confused by this.

Because high school is a scenario where you are more likely to run into each other again. So guys know that even if they don't ask you one day, they can try again another day. As time goes by, the chances that a guy will actually ask you out go up.

But if you're on the street, and a guy feels like asking you out, the chances that he's actually gonna do it the first time is really small.

Plus in high school you two have a thing in common - you're both in high school. Probably even know each other

the problem here, is that if I were to NOT approach girls, I would never meet them at all. If I approach too many girls, they think that I have no real interest in them. Basically, if I go up to a girl that I don't know, she will assume I am overly confident because I came up to them cold and shoot me down because I am that "too confident" guy.

If I don't come up to a girl, she may give me eye contact, but then since I don't come up, she imagines I never had interest in her.

Basically, do you realize you are making it IMPOSSIBLE for a guy to come up to you no matter what then?

I don't actually get approached becasue I'm very shy. It depends on the personality of the girl. If the girl looks very nice, but is shy guys usually don't approach. So the last time I was approached was like 2 weeks ago. The last time a guy gave me that look of...you know attraction was sunday.

I can understand that, guys often assume that a girl that looks shy is uninterested, just as girls do with shy guys :)

i feel like the girls who are saying they never get approached are actually probably either (A) not very attractive or (B) rarely leave the house so they could be approached.

I think im pretty but im not an IG model and even I get approached about 3-4 times a week.

I'm attractive and get approached a lot! You just have to be approachable, not intimidating! I get asked out a few times a month, and hotly pursued by several men. And I live in a small town! I'm seeing someone now, lucky me ;)

Good looking women often aren't approached by men because guys often had an inferiority complex. If they are not confident, they often look at the potential date as intimidating. It takes time and a lot of dating experience for most men to overcome this fear. As much as women do not like to get turned down, neither do men. MOST women, that includes the hottest of the pack, look for confidence in a man. By showing that you are not intimated by looks, but rather motivated by how good looking she is, and by showing your interest and comfort, you can get any girl you want. But remember dating is a numbers game, you are going to get turned down more often than you are going to get a phone number. Not everyone is compatible with one another, that is why we date.

I get approached mainly if I'm out on a night out. Day to day guys have approached me or tried talking to me too, not so often though. I've got the look quite a lot recently :-) the glance, go to look away and then look back immediately shocked as if they've seen something good :-D I quite like that though lol it makes me smile :-)

Whoa! just realized I don't get approached as often as the girls on here :( I'm below average on being approached. Actually I never got approached randomly. Never. just some stares and flirts from time to time but never asking out. Hey, I don't know why. I think I'm developing self-concsiousness now :P

i get approached a lot, but its always by horrible guys. I only get approached by sleazy foreign guys that are overly confident and just slimey. it bothers me a lot that these type of guys approach me, but just nice normal guys dont.

i don't give out any signals or dress slutty that makes these guys talk to me, but I'll be walking down the street or mall and horrible guys always leer at me and all 'heyy babyyyy'. its not nice, I hate it.

It's because guys like this aren't really interested in YOU - they just ask out as many girls as they can and hope one of them will say yes. That is why they have no trouble being whatever they want to be with you. They don't really give a sh*t if you like them or not.

Now if a guy really wants to be with you, it's harder for him because he has a lot to lose if you reject him. It hurts a lot more. This is why it's harder for normal, decent guys to approach girls.

I've never been just approached by guy and asked out or for my number, never. I mean I think I'm approachable but maybe not at all. They're always slow about asking me out too. Hope this helps.

Yeah I guess so, I never feel sure until they ask though. Every guy I've been in a relationship with never just out right asked me.

Well it makes it complicated because it's hard to know if they like me as just a friend. So if they're interested I would rather just hear it towards the beginning. Just because I get bored easily and I don't want to wait around for someone to make up their mind.

I hardly get approached at all, I'm not sure why. I appear confident, I usually travel in groups of three.. I see myself being stared at, guys yell out the window of cars, but I'm never APPROACHED.

I have had guys stare at me, smile at me and in some cases follow me! But never have they ever came up to me and asked me out. There is nothing more annoying than knowing a guy is into you but he is too scared to ask you out!
