Guys don't think they're good enough? Is this true?

Is it true that guys don't ask really pretty girls out because they feel like they'll be rejected or that they're not good enough?

Nice guys give up on 'pretty' girls before even trying.

I mean...seriously! The fact that she looks pretty to your eyes doesn't mean everyone else thinks so!That doesn't necessarily mean she's spoiled by attention others give her, or that she's stupid enough to date some good looking idiot.

But yeah sure, it always depends...

But still guys...seriously...how do you know some other guy can offer her more than you?Why won't guys ever think that 'maybe I'm all she needs'!

Because you're looking at this from a girl's perspective, not a nice guy's.

I don't have a valid reason for thinking that girls are better than me. A lack of self confidence and experience are what keep me away. I was fat for the first 15 years of my life and the other kids made me feel like I was worth less than everyone else, so that's the personality I inherited. I've been told that I'm hot now but l feel that I'm worth less than everyone else.

Well...guess can't argue with that,cause I am a girl.Confidence is...a hard topic,but once you leave all the past in the past...life will be worth everything and it won't be like 'lack of expirience keep me away' So? I was fat first 18 years and now guys flirt,even freaking chase me.I threw away that 'ghost of the past' thing.Confidence was more harder to achieve,but uhm yeah...even that is not a problem.Expirience...well we all have ti get it somewhere x) start small and then go a long way

iono about everyone else, but I feel as though she's either gonna have a boyfriend, someone she's interested in, or someone flat out better looking than me.

Also, there's basically no possibility of her showing any interest in me, because she would have no reason to approach men, when she's being approached all the time. (My thoughts)

But I'm really just a shy person and I think I'm not that good looking anyways, so not gonna want to go through rejection.

You bet your ass it's true. Girls aren't the only ones with insecurities. Guys have our own self-esteem issues too.

Yes. Very true. That's usually the first thing that goes through my mind. I think why bother she already has a boyfriend probably. Or if not I'm sure she gets hit on ALL the time by other guys and she's not gonna wanna be with me when she could have anyone she wanted. And those other guys probably have more to offer her than me :(

I have the exact same thing, although I suspect it's just me lying to myself so that I won't have to face the fact that I'm too much of a coward to approach girls. :-/

I can't speak in the name of all guys, but I can tell what I think the situation is. I believe pretty girls have a lot of attention from too many guy, and the nature makes for those girls to be too picky and guys know that. Obviously a guy who is 1 digit more attractive than that girl will dominate her, and he knows that. I believe these pretty girls you may refer to, may look like b**ch girls who don't deserve wasting time for.

I'm also intimidated by the fact that so many other guys are looking at the pretty girls, and that if I go out with her someone else will 'steal' her.

I have so many male friends who feel that way. Most nice guys are too intimidated to go for really pretty girls, while most guys who are jerks don't really care.
