Why is watching a sunset with your girlfriend romantic?

And I admit it is totaly romantic. But what is the reason? Is it that some how we associate the setting sun with love? What are some opinions on why you personally like watching a sunset with your boyfriend or girlfriend?Holding hands of coarse usualy comes with this.

in my own opinion.sunset is romantic because it seems that the sun's glow gives passion to those who watches it.like especially when the sun's rays radiates in a pinky glow.it give couples passion and intimacy on which the beginning of the night fall would offer.it has the same effect on the sunrise.where people watches the sunrise and it gives them hope that its a new day and in each new day a new life springs up.sunset is the same as sunrise.it gives passion to people to look forward onto something.sunrise offers the urge to make yourself better while sunset offers intimacy to hold on to the person they love or care about because its dark at night and they need someone (who is sensible) to feel the feeling they have for each other.that they would protect each other and care for each other even if the sun is down.

The sunset is really beautiful to watch with all the red's and yellow's and puple's (all romantic warm colours) just before it turns dark and blue and the beautiful starts come out and then it goes from warm to cold (nice sensation) thus you turn to each other for warmth with an embrace and go inside. It is quite comforting.

Smart answer. and both you and khristine28 seem to have hit on the ending of the day as important to be with another. when it gets cold and you go inside. after all that beutiful color. that's something most people miss I think.

Because it's a private moment you two get to share. I could be with my girl just seating on a coach with us two holding hands and that would be totally romantic. It's all about the moment or privacy you two get to share in my opinion.
