I'm not attracted to black girls, am I racist?

I am white and 21.

In my whole life I've never seen one attractive black girl. I think all of them are ugly but I don't hate them, I have black friends.

I've never told someone about that.

So I am wondering if I am racist?

If you are not attracted to them because they just physically don't appeal to you, then you are not a racist.

If you are not attracted to them because you think they are inferior to you based on their race, you are a racist.

Attraction is not something you can control. It does not come from logic. In some cases it is deeply ingrained and was programmed by events and people you encountered at a young age. Look at how many people seem to date others that resemble them or their family in certain ways. In other cases, it can be acquired. I like a wide variety of looks but I find that when I am with someone, I will find one physical characteristic of my partner and suddenly notice it as very attractive in others. I had a boyfriend that would shave his head and I found shaved heads very attractive, even for some time after our breakup.

Ummm... speaking as a black woman, I can honestly say that I don't personally think that you're a racist... I just think that you have a certain preference... don't let anybody make you feel bad or guilty for not being attracted to certain looks... I mean, just like there are men that aren't attracted to black women, there are those that are attracted... no love lost dude :)

I will never understand people like you. I try to have an open mind, but it's beyond me how someone can find ALL people of one ethnicity or color unattractive. And for you to say ugly, it blows my mind that people can't find beauty is amazingly beautiful people of different colors.

depends. If you don't find them attractive, but still would consider them friends and hang out with some of them, then no you aren't racist. But if it's just because they are black, even if they are attractive, then yes. I know it sounds complicated, but I doubt your racist

dont worry just because your not attracted to a race doesn't mean your a racist. just means your not attracted to them. and hey its the same here I like Asian and white but not so much latina and black.. all that means is I'm not attracted to latina's or black women..

Your not racist and there are some ugly black girls just like there are some ugly white girls but you shouldn't down them just because every one you see is ugly there are some pretty black girls its just they are hard to find I love white guys but I know there are some ugly white guys but that don't mean I won't date a white guy.

Having a certain physical preference doesn't make you racist, but everything else you said makes me think you are indeed extremely racist.
-First of all the, me thinks you thou dost protest too much. There are girls I don't find attractive, even certain ethnicities that don't generally tickle my fancy, do you want to know what I do about it? Nothing, I don't ask them out, it's that simple.
-Then you go even further by saying there isn't a single Black girl you find attractive, that you think they're all ugly, I call bulls**t. Not a single Black woman, with the diversity of features black women have, you've never seen one, and gone: Oh she's cute, bullsh**t. And while Alicia keys might be biracial all her facial features are pretty typical black features, so you somehow find those features attractive, but you somehow think all Black girls are ugly.
In conclusion, while you might not be racist for having a preference, you definitely strike me as one.

Saying that "all black women are ugly" is a racist statement because that's assuming you've seen all of them, and saying that they all look alike. They might not appeal to you, but "ugly"? Really? But in general that doesn't make you a racist they just don't appeal to you. A lot of black girls don't like white guys either, I'm told so I guess it all works out.
