A guy has a crush on me, and he secretly follows me. why?

I always run into him when I leave my building or sometimes he drives by and we don't really have a conversation (not every day but like basically twice or more a week)

It's almost kind of creepy. but I can't just ask him why he follows me as he can deny it.

Well, I think you partially answered the question already. He follows you around because he has a crush on you.

He's probably a bit shy, and he's following you around because he's secretly hoping that one day he'll run into you and have a meaningful conversation. Or that his following you will somehow get your attention so you'll notice him more. Or...because he's just bored and has nothing better to do.

Anyway, this is usually pretty harmless and doesn't automatically mean he's a crazy stalker. If you confront him about it, he'll probably get embarrassed and stop. You don't have to prove he's following you, because he knows if he is. If you were mistaken and he wasn't really following you, then the worst case is that you falsely accuse him. To be on the safe side, you can say, "Hey, I see you around here all the time. You following me?" Even if he denies it, he'll know the gig is up. Add, "If you are following me, then I hope you know you're wasting your time."

If you're at all interested in the guy, then tell him that there are better ways to get to know you than following you around. If you're not interested in him, then just tell him that he's not your type.

If you can't just ask him then catch him when he does follow you. It can be uncomfortable but just tell him to stop following you (if you are really annoyed) or ask the question 'why are you following me' when you catch him. If he denies it on the spot just ignore him completely. Do you like the guy?
