Why does he say he wouldn't make a good boyfriend?

We went on 2 dates. We made out and held hands. We've been talking for a month now. I don't get it he says he wouldn't make a good boyfriend, he doesn't want a friends with benefits, and just wants me as a friend. Why is he saying this all of a sudden. First he said he wanted to be my boyfriend. Friends don't act like that with friends. What's he thinking?

It seems like he likes you but not enought to make you his girlfriend. He might like to go out with you again cause he enjoys the time with you but doesn't do it cause you too good to be played. That's why he wants you to be friends.

First date went to the restaurant for lunch. Second date went to the restaurant for lunch, and walked around the mall. He says he works alot, that's why we don't hang out at nite, and when we do hangout its only for a couple hrs. He thinks I have a boyfriend, and he always asks me if I'm seeing someone. I don't get it cause I'm available to see him, but he's the one that's not available to see me. So it's obvious I'm not hiding anything.
