Take Care? What does this mean? Brush off?

I have been corresponding with this guy over a dating site. The first time we arranged to meet he canceled at the last minute (he had a cold) and I didn’t find out until I was where we were supposed to meet. So we got back in contact and met for drinks. It went really well, at least I thought, then walking back to catch a cab I talked about how I was irked last time we were supposed to meet he bailed at the last minute. We said our goodbye it was great to finally meet you, hugged, and then he said, “take care”. Is that a brush off? Who says that. I then emailed him the am and said “great to meet you. I don’t think I properly thanked you for the drinks so…thank you. And more importantly here is that link I was telling you about” that is it. No response today. What gives? Should I take the ‘take care’ as a total brush off?

Tace care = An alternative form of "good bye"..

Take care is the chivalrous alternative.

Personally, I like it more-so than goodbye because "goodbye" could be the last time you say it to that certain person, and you'll have wished you said something different.. Like: "Sleep well" "Love ya" "See ya soon" "Safe journeys" "Best wishes/regards", etc..

Take care is something I use a lot.. And in no way is it a "brush off"

Wait another day, he might be busy. If he doesn't message you in a week than its over. Some guys don't message the next day. I always do if I had a good time but some guys are different. I find it weird that he wouldn't answer you back. That might be a bad sign.

I think he didn't like you (NO OFFENSE). Just forget about him and look for a new guy ;) Life hasn't ended my friend.
