Oblivious to flirting?

Girls...If you realized the guy you've been flirting with, but getting nothing back, was totally oblivious to the whole flirting thing, would you just walk away or make it a lot more obvious for me...Oops I mean HIM? lol

if I knew the guy was just oblivious, id try to make it even more obvious I was flirting. or maybe let it slip to a mutual friend that I liked you and hope the friend tells you. as long as you're not treating her like crap or something, I see no reason for her to move on because of disinterest. it'd be pretty obvious if you are ignoring her out of disinterest. if you hang out and do things together then at least she knows you like her (on a friend level). that's a start. if you know she's flirting with you, why don't you flirt back? then she won't 'walk away'

I probably wouldn`t recognize he`s oblivious, I would think he`s not interested. And then I would feel like a complete idiot to have flirted with him so I`d stop flirting with him and perhaps even start to avoid him a little (or completely-depending on how awkward I`d feel around him).

By the way, what would you do if the situation was the opposite- the girl would have shown no response to your flirting? Would you flirt with her or would you walk away? I`m truly interested.

With the opposite situation I would and have keep flirting until I got an obvious "not interested" response. And if I think my poor attempt at flirting wasn't going so well, then I'd just ask strait out if she wanted to catch up for dinner some time. I ask bluntly in the end because I know how clueless I am with the flirting stuff. haha.

If the guy you flirted with asked you out a week or so after your attempt, would you say yes?

As to your question-most likely (95 cases out of 100) I would say yes. Probable exceptions- if the guy offended me somehow or if I decided to play hard to get. In such cases he would have to ask me twice... or three times. I mean I might not be head over heels for him but if I flirted with him it means I like him and I`d like to spend more time around him.

This depends on how long you have been oblivious ...if she has been flirting with you for a long time like a month, you being oblivious can come as disinterest and in that case will cause her to walk away. If she KNOWS you were oblivious, she really wants you and wants to persue a fling or relationship with you, she will make it a little more obvious. If you are interested though, you should try flirting with her to show her that you have a thing for her.

Thanks. I'm just recently single and I'm having bad flash backs of my younger single days. Girls have always talked, smiled and been nice to me, so by the time I realize there more to it...they're usually long gone. The flirting side of things has always gone over my head, it's like my brain didn't develop the little flirting emoticon thing. Lol.

LOL don't worry, your not the only one --- it happens. But sometimes you have to know when a girl is being nice and when a girl is being TOO nice (: Girl's always have motives for their actions. Well now that you've know the signs, the next time your in the same situation, you should know that the girl is flirting or at least try to realize it before she leaves. Good luck (:
