Why don't guys look at me?

Question

Guys don't really pay much attention to me and I don't get why.Yes,I admit I don't look people in the eye when I walk by because I'm insecure and have no confidence.But I'm starting to think that I'm ugly and unattractive and it has brought my self esteem even lower=((((I've never really liked myself and always considered myself not pretty because I really hate my face shape and nose.Guys,can you give me some advice?

No, your not ugly, you're very attractive! You're probably suffering from a deficit of courting gestures.

Courting gestures are gestures (duh) women and men make to each other all the time to display their relationship status. Guys who are "chick magnets" aren't so because they're hunks, they're so because they have discovered how to maneuver their bodies to be attractive to the opposite sex (which is rare, because guys usually suck at reading body language). The same holds true for girls, although it'll be a bit more difficult because you'll have tough competition (most girls are naturals at this).

Look up a list of courting gestures on Google (I would link a good one, but can't) and practice them in front of a mirror. I would advise the hair flick and parallel legs position (again, I would link, but cant) as good signals to get guys interested. Don't get discouraged if guys don't slobber over you immediately; guys are usually pretty dumb at body language, so it might take a while before they catch on.

Don't forget the first step in all of this, though: make good eye contact and smile! Youth basically advertises sexual prowess, and a good smile enhances this.

Practice smiling in the mirror and make sure your eyes are involved as well as your lips. You should have little puffs under your eyes and wrinkles at the corners (depending on your individual smile). Again, I would post a link to a good photo, but can't.

You shouldn't feel that way. You are cute. You just have to build up your confidence more. Which can take time. Instead of thinking about negatives about your self. Try to think of positive things about yourself. Also try to smile more and give brief eye contact with people. Because when I see girls walk by me with their head down or looking te other way. I always assume that the girl is stuck up. It's a sterotype.

Two, try not to figure your esteem by how much attention guys give you. I bet there are tons of guys checkin you out everyday, but you hav to try and be more secure with yourself. Guys need subtle hints from girls, even if it makes you uncomfortable, start looking them in the eye and smiling. This wil let them know your friendly, approachable, and interested. I had the same issue and I did that and wow, the guys just started poppin up. Don't let petty things like face, nose shape hold you back, because nine times out of ten, guys think your very hot :)

honey I am bi. you look beautiful the way you are. I have bad self esteem to but try to look in the mirror and tell your self you are pretty and great girl. don't let anybody tell you your not. try to look up when you walk in the halls and use your pretty smile when you look around in the halls

Is that you in the red top? Because you're really pretty. The black and white one isn't flattering though. You need to smile, demonstrate your warmth and openness. It'll make a big difference to how people perceive you. I'm wrestling with somewhat similar issues. Well, I have high self esteem, but sometimes low confidence. I notice a big difference when I'm in a depressed sort of mood. People pretty much ignore me, I guess my facial expression is off putting. When I'm in a more light hearted and open mood people respond to me much better. So you need to consider what changes you can make to improve your self esteem and confidence. I think if you makes strides forward with these, it'll make a vast improvement to your life. The confidence should come from getting yourself out there, trying new things, succeeding in them, and then appreciating that you're not so useless after all :)

most of the time you won't notice a guy checking you out. I assume from your age your in university. guys at this point have gotten good at checking girls out withought being noticed. it becomes possible to have a conversation with your buddy across the table from you and check out the girls body sitting next to him just out of the corner of your eye. you also have nothing to worry about from that picture.

The fact that you don't make eye contact explains why you think guys aren't looking at you.  If you looked at their eyes you'd see that several guys are incredibly focused on your t!ts.
