Why don't all guys stare at me?

This is a stupid/maybe conceited question I know but I am insecure and wondering... I've been told I'm pretty, I get stares from guys in public, I think I am pretty too. But also, most of the time guys aren't staring at me. I sit across some normal dudes on the ctrain or bus and they're not even paying attention to me. Why? Am I ugly actually or are they just whatever?

Lets break it down:

1. As men, we have stuff to do. Believe it or not, we have jobs, go to school and run errands. Stuff besides gawking.

2. Men are often socially shamed for staring. Look too long or in the "wrong" way and you'll become "creepy" to many girls.

3. Not all men have the same taste in women. You may be attractive to one man, but not another. We have our preferences.

4. Your friends could be overestimating your looks. Absent any picture and posting anonymously doesn't help us determine if this is the case. If you want a more through appraisal, you should turn off the "anonymous" feature on your question.

Some guys don't stare at girls if their stares are obvious to her. You don't need validation from a guy staring at you to feel pretty, that comes from within. Some people rarely get compliments or stares and still feel like they are the hottest person in the world. Work on your self esteem, it's all about you.

Maybe they don't want to be creepy. Maybe they don't want to be rude. Maybe they think you aren't as pretty as you think. Maybe they are thinking about their girlfriends.

Wow... Well, believe it or not, not all guys have to same preference in women. Just because some people tell you you're pretty doesn't mean every single Y chromosome bearer out there is going to be slavering in a pool of his own spittle the instant you come near him. Go about your sh*t and do what you've gotta do, does it really matter if it isn't the entirety of the male gender that find you flamingly gorgeous? I mean really, so what.
