Do girls like smart guys?

Do girls like smart guys? If so, where does it rank on your list of things you like in a guy? And what comes above and below being smart?

Sorry for asking for the specifics. It's just that being smart is probably the best quality I have and it's the only one that girls recognize right from the start (being in the uni library all the time does that to you). I don't have enough time to hang out with girls due to work and studying all the time so they don't really get to see the other sides of me at all. Such as the sweet and funny and romantic and caring side (sorry, didn't mean to brag, I'm just going by what I've been told).

I feel a bit intimidated if he's way smarter than me, I like to feel that my smarts are in balance with his. But then again, being intelligent is such a clever attribute, and smart men always succeed so, to answer you're question, yes I do like smart guys and they are on my list, I mean who want to date a complete idiot...not many people (:

though I have to say that I'm quite intimidated by extremely smart people, but if I liked the guy then I would always put that aside. so anyway, there's nothing wrong with being clever :D

it depends on how you go along with your smartness. if your the geeky, skinny, a bit awkward type, then no, smart is not good. but if you are smary and don't faunt it, just use when you need to (eg school, work) and are still outgoing, funny, etc, then I'm all for it. above smart would be personality, and under would be looks. (you don't want a hot guy who fails his exams).

It is a plus to be smart, but it is even better to be confident, too. Girls pick up on the way boys carry themselves. Some girls also like the boldness that a man can have towards them (it's abravery thing).

It's pretty high on my list. I don't think I could be with someone who wasn't of similar intelligence to me, and I consider myself a pretty intelligent person.

Yea I do. Its not always abt abs and being cool. Smart guys are cool enough. Besides, u're sweet and romantic. Lots of girls like that!

Yes. As long as they don't become a smart ass. I like guys that have great common sense and are understanding.

- confidence

- humour

- are OK looking

then you should ave no problem

Not all girls are the same, so it depends on the girl. I personally love smart guys, but some women consider intelligent men to be nerds & are turned off by that.

Obviously. But, I'm not going to lie appearances count too. I think when I first see a guy I am attracted to how he looks, but am won over by his intelligence and personality. So... of course girls like smart guys :)
