Would it be a bad idea to hit on a teacher?

So right now I’m taking GED classes temporarily..

& I like one of the teachers there..

im 19.. she’s probably in her early 40’s
I ran into her at Walmart today..
We didn’t say much.. just hi & bye

i planned on asking for her number on my last day going...
I think she may be married so I’m going to ask that first..
She wears a ring but I assumed it was just a piece of jewelry..

she's never come on to me in any way

i say wait until the last time you are going to her class or whatever and try your shot on the last day so if its awkward, you dont have to go back there lol
